you know i have to say something. i can't believe no matter how much you dislike someone... you think that's ok?? that reporter wants to blame bush for all his country's problems.... i mean, i guess iraq was a totally peaceful country in the past. a model of liberty, democracy, and tolerance before team america arrived. i suppose my history classes were all mistaken when we studied the centuries of war, poverty, and strife that has plagued the middle east since the dawn of time... before america even existed.
what if that had been obama? would it have been funny or acceptable then? of course not. these are world leaders and should be shown some respect. wouldn't it be ironic if that reporter was captured by his own people on the way home? and then beheaded with a dull blade. OH and then it was video cast for the whole world to see? maybe when his life flashed before his eyes, he would think about who was really to blame.
like the news anchor said... can you imagine what would have happened to that guy if sadaam was still in power? he would have been condemned to a firing squad.... if he was lucky.
and so bush said "it was a size 10." big deal. of course he was trying to make light of the situation. i mean, what else can he do? i'm sorry to say that if ANYONE else had made a comment like that, it would be considered funny and in good taste... perhaps even charming. like i said before, at this point, he's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't.
i obviously didn't vote for obama, but i would be appalled if something like this happened to him. under no circumstances does the leader of my country deserve that type of treatment or humiliation. we are lucky to live in a country where if someone is not doing a good job, we can vote for someone different and enjoy a peaceful transition of power. bush's days are extremely numbered and there's a whole new party majority, so everyone should pretty much get over it.
Ok Jojo I see you had to get that off your chest. First, I never said it was ok or wasnt, the title to this post was damn cuz that shit was not only disrespectful, but it was down right embarrassing. Hell no I dont agree that it was funny. If that happened to a regular person let alone the pres I wouldn't find it funny either. Second, BUSH is the one that made the comment about the size 10 shoe. He was def making light of the situation and that is the reason why its funny, but dont get it twisted, its still disrespectful no matter who it is, Obama, my mama, a homeless person even. Third, dont be comin at me like you wanna fight! hahahaha I agree with you 100 percent!
