Its an all Williams final at Wimbledon folks, prepared to be amazed. I was on pins and needles I must admit watching Serena battle her way through 3 sets against the 4th seeded Dementieva. Elena took the first set and I was literally screamin at the tv for Serena to get her damn head in the game. After almost damn near 3 hours, Dementieva fucked up and Serena came back to take the game. Whew that was close.....

So then Venus plays the world No 1, Dinara Safina. And seriously, homegirl is a joke. She lost to Venus 6-1 6-1 in UNDER AN HOUR! She only came to be the No 1 cuz Serena had a few injuries that didnt allow her to compete in a few matches. She damn sure wasnt ready to face Venus and it clearly showed. So, now its an all Williams final. As much as I love Serena, she looked a lil rusty and amateur-ish on the court today. Suffice it to say, she got her work cut out for her. Even with that leg brace Venus was sportin, she looked to be in top form!!!!

Uumm can I just take a sec to talk about this sandwich I made today. OMG so damn good. Toasted wheat bread, smoked ham, feta cheese, mustard, pickles and tomotoes. So damn good.....

So I never thought Id EVER see the day, when I wore a bathing suit. Esp a bikini. I decided to just get it over with tho. I wore a cute black dress to the beach and when I got there, I covered myself with a sarong so I could play in the water and not have people stare at my fat. I lounged in a beach chair, and since you look thin when you lay flat, I decided to take the sarong off...Take a deep breath.....

June is for STARS

Well Well Well, that special time of year is upon us folks, yep you guessed it MY BIRTHDAY. The most glorious day that brought about the birth of the great one, Lady Sha Sha herself, or Shantay to most of you. It is said that the heavens parted, and she descended upon Earth wraps in the softest of silks, with a white light about her. She was given to a man and women to call their daughter and blessed this world with her beauty and wit.

Now I dont know where this came from, or who said this, but damnit they hit the nail on the head!

Anyway, Ive decided that since my birthday is coming up June 16 (for those who are in the dark) I should post some old pics of me, and share some fun facts about my self that will interest you. Ill be featuring pics from my college years, up til recently, and be sharing things about my childhood and other facts that I know you all are dying to read about.

Out of Hiding

Its been a hot minute since I been clubbin in Sofia. We just came off a break, and I actually stayed home the whole break. I decided to come out of hiding and show my lovely face to the world in this cute lil number. I didnt want to overwhelm folk with a tight dress get-up, so I opted for some skinny jeans, and this cute lil top. I was poppin tags with the whole outfit (just thought you should know) and I had to complete the look with a black 3/4 sleeve jacket and my pumps. Red toes and a red clutch completed the look.

Are you happy?

I've been pondering life lately (since I have soooooo much free time on my hands). And I was just wondering if you (whoever reads this blog) are happy with your life? are you happy with your current situation? would you change anything?

This is such a complicated but easy question. Ive never been a 'plan' kind of person. Altho I got good grades in high school, i never thought about goin to college at all. I didnt know what the hell i wanted to do with my life, and I still dont. But I did know that I wanted to make money, be free to do what I wanted to do, and travel to different places.

Im still young, and there is still time to make necessary changes to my life if need be, but I can honestly say that I am quite happy with my life. Altho BUG is not all its crack up to be, I have minimal responsibilities here, and its exciting for me to thrive and live in another place. It has its ups and downs, but for the most part, id say i was pretty ok with my current situation. Beside feeling like a poor vagabond cuz I cant really afford to buy all the pretty dresses I see cuz my 'PC allowance' is so damn LOW, i really have no cares right now. My family is healthy, they have jobs (amidst the bad economy), Poppa is still around, my friends are all doing ok (all of the like 3 that I still even communicate with), I can travel while I am here. Other than very minor setbacks, IM GOOD!

So, I was just wondering about you? Have you asked yourself how happy you are? If not, do so. Think about it. Hopefully your on cloud 1913 with me. If not, uummm....anyway

Oh before I go, Im sure Id be MUCH HAPPIER if I was one of those people who got an AIG bonus (and the govt wasnt tryna take it back). I hear one guy's bonus was 600 million. Im not even gonna throw my 2 cents in the game bout that bullshit!

Well Lookey Here....I was in the supermarket (thank god for Kaufland's) in the other day and literally STUMBLED on these joints right here. I was in the damn cake and cookie aisle lookin for anything with vanilla. I just happened to look down and see these lil waffles. I HAD to get these just so I can DROWN them in the Aunt Gemima syrup I have at home. THIS IS A BIG FUCKIN DEAL!

So big I almost ate them while STILL IN the damn pack. SyrupI love you!

And just when it seems someone takes one step backwards, someone has the courage to take a BIG step forward. Shout outs to Norah al-Faiz (like I know her personally...) for being appointed by the king as the new deputy minister for womens education. This is a huge step for the people (esp the women) of saudi arabia.

Women there have any rights at all. On CNN they were sayin that in Saudi Arabia women need permission from their husband or a male relative to leave they house, they cant walk outside often without a male with them, they are not allowed to drive and we all know how they must be covered from head to toe. But the younger population that has access to internet and know about other cultures want a change. And rightfully so!

Im not gonna pretent to be a huge history buff cuz I dont follwo what goes on in the middle east at all. But I have heard of the way the women are treated there, so this def is a good look!

So lookey what we have here. Just when I thought I hated working here, wanted to beat my students down, talked shit about the bulgarians, cursed my town, and swore Id never return after my service was up, I get this email from my director:

"Actually I wanted to have a chat with you at some point but unfortunately I was facilitating the training in hall Europa, which was in the other building and it interfered with my plan. I hope you were able to work well with your colleague during the workshop. I had a chance to hear from her at the focus group session with Bg partners on Friday. On behalf of your school she spoke highly appreciative of you highlighting your positive attitude and natural way of interaction with students and colleagues. She mentioned the positive influence you have over students and colleagues in terms of using cretivity in your teaching."

Now aint this something?!?! When I saw this part of the email you know I almost started dancing the jig! What wonderful things she MUST have said about me. Im truly touched. This jsut makes me actually want to do more for the school (like get them new laptops for a portable computer lab).
